I work with adults (18+), supporting both men and women. Many of my clients are professionals who are functioning outwardly but struggling internally with the effects of trauma, relationship breakdown, or long-term stress.

Trauma-informed therapy recognises that trauma can have a profound and lasting impact on the nervous system, emotional regulation, relationships, and sense of safety. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, this approach understands why certain patterns, responses, or coping strategies developed and treats them as meaningful adaptations to past experiences.
As a trauma-informed psychotherapist with over 10 years of clinical experience, my work is grounded in an understanding of how trauma lives in both the body and the mind. I prioritise creating a therapeutic space that is safe, consistent, and paced, particularly when working with trauma, abuse, sexual violence, and domestic violence.
My approach places strong emphasis on:
Stabilisation and safety before any deeper trauma processing
Supporting nervous system regulation to reduce overwhelm, anxiety, and reactivity
Understanding relational and attachment patterns shaped by past experiences
Working collaboratively, with choice and control remaining with you at all times
Trauma-informed therapy does not rush into retelling traumatic events. Instead, we focus first on helping you feel more grounded, resourced, and emotionally steady, so that difficult experiences can be explored safely and without re-traumatisation, if and when appropriate.
This way of working is particularly important for those with complex trauma, developmental trauma, or experiences of sexual violence and abuse, where trust, pacing, and attunement are essential.
